750 ML. 100% Sangiovese.
The 2005 Flaccianello is made from a selection of the best grapes from the best parts of the Fontodi vineyards. The soil here is classic ‘galestro’, the schistous clay on which the Sangiovese grape produces its best results. The grapes were hand harvested in the middle of October. Good depth of youthful ruby colour with perfumes of spiced cherry and vanilla. Tremendous power in this excellent vintage, with characteristically ripe, but well balanced tannins, it has flavours of spiced black cherry and toasty new oak on the palate. Great intensity even to the finish.
